Many women mark the best day of their life as when their child has been born. To get an expectant mother ready for this blessed event, friends and loved ones will throw her a baby shower that is a reminder that she is bringing another life into this world. Gift bag items do not need to be overly expensive either; just something that is a reminder of the party. You will want to create a gift bag that is one of a kind but doesn’t cost you a lot of money to put together.

What are some of things that you can use in the gift bags? They can be:

Little picture frames – Pictures frame with pictures of the expectant mother. The costs of getting pictures done while she is pregnant aren’t much and chances are she already has pictures made. All you need to do is get the original to make duplicates to place in the frames.

Poems – Find a poem or make one up that tells about the expectant mother. Be sure to type it out and get extra copies. You can roll them up like a scroll and tie it off with a ribbon that matches the gender of the baby. If that is unknown, use a neutral color. You don’t have to stick with white for the printer paper either. If you know the gender, use a variation of the colors blue and pink. If not, use a neutral color. This is great for scrapbooks.

Gift bags - Gift bags are a wonderful tradition and still go over with guests quite well. Include in them: joke gifts along with items that represent the event. You don’t have to tie these off with special ribbon. A twist tie will suffice. Also, attach something baby related to the bag.
