As a baby shower comes together, you may find that the fun part happens when you are planning and putting together games for guests to enjoy. These are usually for guests who love a mind challenge. If you have guests who are brainy, create anagrams from baby words/names, allowing them to rearrange the letters to find the write word.

Once everyone has been put at ease with each other and things are really rolling, you can start presenting the “more fun” games. For instance, you can play the “Smell the Diaper” game. How does this work? Get a hold of diapers and different kinds of candy bars. It doesn’t matter the kind. You can get Milk Way, Reese’s, Baby Ruth, etc. All you need is chocolate. You can also get a bar of chocolate you cook with. Melt the chocolate and place it inside the diaper, wrapping it up. Have your guests smell the diaper to determine what chocolate bar goes to which diaper.

Do you have to go with the wilder games? Not at all. Some people may not find it humorous to play “Smell the Diaper” or embarrassed at the thought of playing it. If you have a crowd of guests that don’t really know each other or well enough, then you can pull out board games that can be played with the baby twist. Games that can be altered with little effort include Taboo, Scattergories, Pictionary, etc. You can also use a regular deck of cards to play baby games.

It really does not matter what game you settle on, you just want your baby shower to be an experience that each guest will remember for a long time. That means you don’t have to hunt down unique games to play. By utilizing the simple board games and twisting them into a baby theme, you are going to come up with games that your guests will want to be a part of.

Don’t forget to get some gifts for the baby. Try to find items that show the baby will have style such as shirts with music artists on them, logo accessories. You can skate shoes, rompers, bibs, etc. There is so much to choose from.
