Using Baby Shower Games to Find Baby Names
If you are throwing a baby shower for a friend or loved one, you probably know it can get costly. There is so much you need to do for the shower including buying the food, decorations, door prizes and the entertainment. You may spend more than $150 just to put it altogether.
If you want to save on some money for entertainment, play the “Baby Name Game”. This game is especially helpful to parents-to-be who do not know what to call their new addition just yet.
What You Need:
Paper;
Writing Utensils (Pen, pencil, crayon, etc.); and
Timer or stopwatch.
Have your guests write down as many names as possible in the amount of time you specify. When the timer goes off, have your guests put down the writing utensil they were using. Have each one read their names aloud and then count them out. The one that comes up with the most names is the winner. Offer them a game prize. You don’t have to go all out for it either. A scented candle or perfume soap works well.
Game Variations
If the game seems too easy, then put in your own rules. If the mother would like the child’s name to stay with a certain letter, then the rules must be that names have to begin with this letter. You can also make it to where there are only girls/boys names on the list.
Regardless of how you play, this is one game that is full of laughs and helpful to the mom-to-be.
